Aims and Structure of the Course

The Master degree builds on the Bachelor degree, broadening and deepening students' economic and theoretical perspectives. The course centres around the following topics: book-based communication from a historical and modern-day perspective; research into book usage; analysis of national and international book markets; E-business and cross-media publishing; aesthetics of literature; book production; and project management in the book industry. In addition, there are the following import modules: Media Ethics and Communication Studies.

Completing the single-subject Master takes four semesters.

Application

Applicants need Bachelor degrees in Book Studies or similar (media-related) subjects to study for the Book Studies Master. The application deadline for the winter semester 2011/2012 is 15th August 2011. Please apply online using the Master office platform.
