The circle of friends of the department is not an incorporated association but a fairly loose organized network borne by persons and companies of the book industry and by the corporate umbrella organization of the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. Personalities in leading positions out of different parts of the book industry act as advisers and represent the organization. The circle of friends’ directorate controls with its chairwoman Dr. Martina Steinröder (Steinröder Publishing Consulting, Munich) the usage of the subsidies. Become a member of our circle of friends of Study of the Book in Erlangen and help to sponsor our subject, the academic work as well as students’ projects. The current annual subscription for a single person (tax-deductable in Germany) amounts 50,- Euros, the membership for a company amounts 250,- Euros. Of course, we also appreciate one-time donations.
